Q1What did AWS announce?
According to the official source, aWS CEO Matt Garman said Amazon is expanding its Nvidia partnership with 2 million additional GPUs and AI factories containing up to 100,000 GPUs for the U.S. government.
Q2How large is two million GPUs?
It is an industrial-scale procurement number. Even spread over multiple years and GPU generations, it implies enormous requirements for data-center power, networking, cooling, land, and capital.
Q3Why does the government piece matter?
Dedicated 100,000-GPU AI factories show sovereign and public-sector demand is becoming a separate infrastructure market. Governments increasingly want large pools of compute under controlled operational and security conditions.
