Elon Musk says roughly 15 gigawatts of AI compute expected to be produced in 2027 may not be switchable on that year. His point is sharper than a simple power shortage: GPUs can be manufactured faster than transformers, wiring, liquid cooling, chillers, networking, and complete data halls can be built around them.
