Hop Aero says its Rook rocket can move 550 pounds of cargo up to 450 miles in around 15 minutes, then land without a runway. The bigger idea is not replacing cargo planes. It is shrinking rocket logistics into a standard shipping container that military units could move, hide, and launch almost anywhere.

Because permanent launch sites are expensive, obvious, and easy to target. A container can travel by truck, ship, or rail and blend into normal logistics.
