Revolut just launched AIR, an AI agent for money management
Revolut is rolling AIR beyond a support chatbot and toward an execution layer for banking. Users can ask it to inspect spending, manage subscriptions, change card controls or handle other in-app tasks. The bigger shift is that financial software is starting to replace navigation with intent.
BREAKING: Revolut’s AIR is live in the EU.

Not another support bot. It is Revolut’s in-app assistant. You type what you want. It looks at your account and does the job.
Think of it as asking a mate who already has your app open.

Q1What is AIR supposed to do?
Revolut describes AIR as an execution engine inside the app. It can answer questions about an account and take actions such as tracking spending, managing subscriptions, checking investments and changing payment controls.
Q2Is this actually new?
AIR first began rolling out in the UK in April 2026. The important signal now is broader availability and deeper integration. Revolut has more than 80 million customers globally, so even a partial rollout gives agentic banking a large real-world test bed.
Q3Why is banking a good agent use case?
Banking apps are full of nested menus for simple intentions: freeze a card, find a payment, cancel a subscription, check a position. An agent can collapse those steps into one request because it already sits next to the account data and controls.
Q4What is the hard part?
Trust. A wrong answer is annoying, but a wrong financial action can move money or block access. Revolut therefore has to make permissions, confirmations and audit trails feel invisible enough for convenience without making autonomous actions unsafe.
Q5What could this change?
If users become comfortable stating what they want instead of tapping through screens, the interface advantage of traditional banking apps shrinks. The best financial product may increasingly be the one whose agent can safely execute the most tasks.
