WHOOP just made fertility tracking a membership perk
WHOOP is giving eligible members a year of Natural Cycles, an FDA-cleared birth control app that normally costs about $150 in the US. The temperature connection is useful, but the bigger move is the bundle: WHOOP is turning fertility tracking from a separate subscription into a membership perk as its female member base grows 111% year over year.
UPDATE: Natural Cycles is now included with WHOOP.

We’re making one of our biggest investments in women’s health in WHOOP history.

Q1What actually happened?
According to the official announcement, eligible WHOOP members who are new to Natural Cycles now get a 12-month subscription included with their membership. WHOOP 5.0 and WHOOP MG can also send overnight skin temperature directly into the Natural Cycles app.
Q2Why is the free year the real signal?
Because Natural Cycles normally costs about $150 per year in the US. WHOOP is not just connecting two apps. It is absorbing the cost of a regulated reproductive health service into its main subscription. That gives women another concrete reason to join, upgrade and keep paying for WHOOP.
Q3Is WHOOP first to connect with Natural Cycles?
No. Natural Cycles already works with Oura, Apple Watch and selected Garmin devices. Oura helped prove that overnight wearable temperature can replace manual morning measurements. WHOOP’s sharper move is the bundle. Oura users generally need both subscriptions, while eligible WHOOP members get their first Natural Cycles year included.
Q4How does the integration work?
You wear a compatible WHOOP while sleeping. It records overnight skin temperature and sends the data to Natural Cycles. The app combines that signal with its algorithm to give a daily fertility status. That removes the need to remember a thermometer or manually enter a reading every morning.
Q5Why is WHOOP pushing into this now?
Women are one of WHOOP’s fastest-growing member groups, with membership up 111% year over year. WHOOP has already added menstrual cycle tools, pregnancy insights, hormone predictions and a women’s blood biomarker panel. Natural Cycles turns that investment into something more concrete: fertility planning and FDA-cleared hormone-free birth control.
Q6How big is Natural Cycles?
Natural Cycles says it has more than six million registered users, 30 published studies and regulatory authorization across more than 35 countries. Its birth control mode is 93% effective with typical use and 98% effective when used as intended. It is not a small wellness plug-in. It is a regulated product with real consumer scale.
Q7So what changes?
Wearable companies are starting to compete through the health services included around the device, not just the sensor on your wrist. WHOOP gets a stronger women’s health product without spending years building and clearing its own birth control algorithm. Natural Cycles gets a new distribution channel. And fertility tracking starts looking less like a standalone app and more like a standard wearable benefit.
